Leanne BenjaminI am currently involved at our Orlando Regional Realtor Association. I served on the Council of 100 and its subcommittee (Steering Committee). I was also active on the Community Affairs Committee and as a result of that have done volunteer work with WMFE and the American Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. I was the 2001 Chair of the Liaison Committee and Chairman of the Council of 100. I also initiated the "Rookie Club" at ORRA to help new Realtors in the business to feel more comfortable by providing extra training and a personal mentor. I served some years on the Grievance Committee at the Board of Realtors. I currently serve on the Professional Standards Committee at our Board of Realtors. We make determinations on violations of the Realtor Code of Ethics and make sure Professional Standards are upheld.

I am an active member of the Lake Mary Chamber of Commerce and serve in the Education Committee as Coordinator for the SAW II project for the past five years. I have served several years as Ambassador for the Seminole/Lake Mary Regional Chamber of Commerce and was Ambassador of the Year for 2000.

I have also served as a judge for the Essay Contest each year for the Daughters of the American Revolution.

I worked as a volunteer for the United Way/Red Cross for over ten years. I was President of the Advisory Council for the Red Cross in Seminole County for three years, 1999 - 2001. I have taught swimming, water safety, life saving and CPR in many locations in Florida.

In addition, I was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in the Seminole County area. I have also collected for the March of Dimes on a regular, yearly basis. I also support Mothers Against Drunk Drivers.

I am a current Dividends volunteer for Seminole County Public Schools.

I received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Florida in Gainesville in 1976. Later in May of 1989 I received my Master of Arts in Teaching Degree from the University of Central Florida. I have taught mathematics for over twenty years, mostly at Valencia Community College in Orlando and Seminole Community College in Sanford. I have also taught at the University of Central Florida and the University of Florida. I continue to do free private tutoring to those in need.

Organizations of/for Women
I was President of the Central Florida Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors for the year 2001. It is number twenty of 720 women's organizations nationwide. I have many professional contacts through this organization. I continue to serve an active role as Past President and Advisor to the current and future presidents.

Personal information that may be of interest
I am a member of Mensa.

I am currently the Broker and Owner of my own company, Lake Mary Presidential Realty, Inc. I opened my own company after a decade in the real estate business. My goal is to provide legendary personalized and professional service to all my clients. I hold the prestigious LTG designation which stands for Leadership Training Graduate and requires much more education in the real estate field than the average Realtor is required to have. This is a national designation among Realtors. I have been trained and participated in many leadership and training roles throughout my real estate career. I am also Relocation Certified which means I have had special training and education to better serve professional clients who are being moved by their companies.
